We offer Standard, Service, and Lite memberships. Standard provides core business support, advocacy, and networking. Service memberships offer sector support in HR, Manufacturing, or Global Trade. You can combine memberships to create a tailored package for your business.

2. Can I combine memberships? Yes. You can combine Standard and Service memberships to create a package that meets your business needs. Bundled memberships provide greater value, coordinated support, and flexibility as your business grows.
3. How much does membership cost?

Membership fees vary by type and level. Standard and Service memberships are available monthly or yearly.

4. What’s included in my membership? Depending on your membership type, benefits can include: networking opportunities, member pricing on training and events, exclusive events, expert consultancy, advocacy support and exclusive member offers. Higher tiers receive additional support and increased visibility, more events and connections.
5. How do I know which membership is right for my business?

Use our Membership Guide to explore the best Standard and Service membership combination for your business. Our team can also provide advice to help you build a package that fits your needs.

6. Can my membership grow with my business? Yes. You can upgrade or add Service memberships at any time to access additional support, advisory services, or networking opportunities as your business evolves.
7. Who can access my membership?

Membership benefits are designed to support the entire team at your organisation. Multiple users can access events, resources, and advisory services to get maximum value from your membership.

Staff lists can be uploaded to give your wider team access to the resources and benefits your membership brings.

8. How do I sign up or renew my membership?

You can sign up or renew online, or contact our membership team for guidance. Annual memberships include GST and can be paid monthly or yearly, depending on your preference.

9. What’s the difference between Connect, Thrive, and Invest memberships?
  • Connect: Core benefits for building your network and profile

  • Thrive: Adds advocacy, business assessment, and expert connections

  • Invest: Premium support, preferential events, brand exposure, and access to exclusive Invest-only opportunities

10. Can I trial a membership before committing?

Yes. Our Lite subscription gives you fortnightly email updates and one free networking event, letting you experience Business Canterbury membership before choosing a full package.
