As we head into the busy summer season, some Canterbury businesses are wrapping up the year, others are taking a well-earned break, and our exporters and importers are keeping trade moving. To help you plan ahead, here are our office hours and Certificate of Origin service availability over the holiday period...
Office Hours for 2025/2026 Holiday Period
The Business Canterbury team would like to thank you for your support over another busy and rewarding year.
Our office will be closed from Wednesday, 24 December 2025 and will reopen on Monday, 5 January 2026.
During this period, some Certificate of Origin export documentation services will remain available. Please see details below.

Friday, 19 December: 8:30am–12:00pm, reduced hours
Office Closed
Closes on: Tuesday, 23 December 2025, at 5:00pm.
Reopens: Monday, 5 January 2026, 8:30am. Standard hours and full service resumes.
Certificate of Origin / Export Documentation Services Schedule
Friday, 19 December: Reduced service
Wednesday, 24 December: Reduced service
Thursday, 25 December: 🎄 No service

Important Notes:
Wet stamping export documentation service:
- Friday, 19 December: 9:00–12:00 (closed 12:00–5:00pm). Please submit documents by 10:00am.
- Wednesday, 24 December: 9:00–1:00pm (closed 1:00–5:00pm). By appointment only.
Certificate of Origin service:
- Online only, between 9:00am–1:00pm on reduced service days (Dec 24, 29, 30, 31).
