Back to Business 2024

On 15 February, we hosted Back to Business, our first major event of the year, at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre. It was fantastic to get together and kick off the year with so many people from our local business community.

In addition to networking, we received an update from Christchurch City Councillor Sam MacDonald on recruitment for the next Chief Executive and what to expect in the upcoming Long-Term Plan, and a presentation from ChristchurchNZ Chief Executive Ali Adams on some of the economic data coming through at the moment, and what it means for businesses.

We also received a message from Prime Minister Christopher Luxon - view the video below to hear what he wanted to share. Also check out our upcoming events, including the Reserve Bank Lunch on Friday, 1 March, where Reserve Bank Governor Adrian Orr will discuss factors impacting our economy in 2024 from both a domestic and international perspective.
